Is Steamboat closing tomorrow? They have not put out an official statement yet, but I think the answer is yes! They had to truck in snow in from nearby ski hill, Howelson, to get through the weekend. Steamboat has had no new snow in the last 4 weeks and temperature highs last week reaching in tothe 70s! Last week the lower mountain closed as wells as the terrain parks and sunshine lifts.
At least the concerts over the weekend were fun. Keller Williams and local favorite “Missed the Boat” played on stage Saturday in Gondola Square at the base of Steamboat.

upper mtn skiing great. coverage is good. 57 trails still open. they will try to stay open if they can. the snow trucked in is for events at the base area this weekend. has nothing to do with skiing. come skiing today and find out for your self. outstanding spring conditions. bring your rock skis.
You sound like a PR Rep for Intrawest. I am sorry but the conditions are sub par at best and hardly worth it.
Spam….
Outstanding spring skiing, bring your rock skis? How does that work?
Maybe sub par for you. I’m having a great time daily. The corn snow on the summit has been a lot of fun. Skiing from 1 to4pm has been great.
I’m having a great time twice daily.

Colorado skiing has been pretty rough this year. I’ve had some awesome days, but I’m tired of skiing the same poor conditions that I hit in November. I’m writing this season off and focusing on bike riding until next season.
Did Scamboat trademark corn snow too? Where’s there champ-ayne powder now?
Yeah, well you don’t have the chimney so you ain’t got sh*t!
Is that a dumptruck load of crampain powder? Is that in the brochure? Do people like it? Is it good? How do you ski it? Is there more where that came from? How do I get some? It looks like shit, what’s it smell like? Is that what they trademarked? Never skied Champaign powder but it looks like shit. We get that stuff here in the Selkirks sometimes and we call it crap.
who in their right minds would go down the chutes lately??
people who like getting gnar duuuuuuhhhh!!!!
who said anything about right minds?
