Reflection of Squaw/KSL decision making?

Apparently Squaw has Officially answered the dilemma regarding wether or not they are going to have a Bike Park this year.

Answer: Posting a story on their website regarding the Western States Trail. Not worth reading, but here is a link for inquiring minds…. Notice their featured image is taken from exact point our video starts, located nearly 5 miles from the boundary of Squaw Valley!

What’s weird about this? Well for starters, the only section of the Wester States worth riding (as mentioned in their story) doesn’t even run through Squaw’s property. In fact, its on the opposite side of the Highway and nearly a 2 mile ride form the resort boundary. What is even more weird, is that Unofficial just posted an article with video clip included regarding this exact section of trail just over a week ago.

Come On Squaw! If this is Extraordinary, I don’t want to see what is ordinary….

Squaw is so far behind in the bike world, none of this news even matters. These guys are lost. Completely Lost. Squaw’s become that ugly chick with money, play the game, do whatever you want, try not to get caught. Game on mofo’s.

Next winter maybe they can tell us all about the backcountry skiing and riding near and around Squaw that we can not access from the resort. Perhaps next week Squaw can blog about the climbing at Big Chief. The possibilities are endless as far as activities that they do not allow or encourage at the resort and pretend to care about. The only thing extraordinary about KSL’s Squaw is how far out of touch they are.

Not sure that article is an “answer” on the actual bike park status, but rather a write up of someones lunch time activities. Doesn’t mention a thing either way about the status of lift served trails.

There’s a sign at the start of that section of trail that reads: “trail adopted by Northstar at Tahoe” now that’s irony
