That’s right folks, it’s snowing in Utah!! Old man winter began to blow last night, bringing a fresh white blanket of the good stuff to Snowbird. It’s almost that wonderful time of year. Tune up those snow blowers. Dust off the shovels. Gather up the non-perishables. Winter is a’ coming!!!
Last year we received upwards of 18 inches here in Tahoe, enough to get some mighty fine early season turns in (granted it didn’t snow again until what seemed like the end of February). What do ya’ll think? Are we going to get another early season treat. Is it going to roll into another epic winter?!
Just in case you forgot how joyous shoveling can be, check out Snowbird’s Emily Moench shoveling away at the fresh dusting:

goosebumps! bring on winter!
Holy sh*t! An inch of snow?! The chimney must be nuking!
good work emily
Who’s hiking Alta tomorrow?
Great…. Bring on the persistent weak layer that’ll keep us on edge all year.
It will melt before any real snow pack develops.
that dirty little hoar…
Never trust a hoar no matter how deep you bury it.
Fuck yes, bout time. It makes me horny when it snows for the first time.
Hi.
hey squaw you see how that snow is light and fluffy?
can you not see the irony in talking shit to a community who created the tools with which you are talking shit?
And doesn’t stick to rocks and steep faces so you get 500 inches with a 50″ base and slide danger all year long.
lazy marketing trash, you only shovel when a camera’s around
