BBC News – Record snowfall in northern Japan.

Northern Japan usually has a high snow fall but this year’s has broken all records.

      They can run the chairs, but they typically prep for it by taking all the chairs off, then snow plowing the way to the top, so theres huge walls of snow around.

    Am I missing something here? This report is not very complete. 5.5 meters is only 216 +/- inches…maybe that’s a record for them, but seems way below average for us here in the PNW at least
