The Austrian Tirol Snow Card might very well be the greatest ski pass on earth. It makes any multi-resort pass in the US look like a dog and pony show (read: Epic Pass). With access to 82 resorts in the Austrian Alps, it would be an accomplishment in itself to simply ride at every resort the pass gives you access to in a single season. The pass runs about $850, depending on what the Euro is at, and less for college students. Obviously, not every resort is world class, but nonetheless, it’s still a pretty amazing deal. Here the stats of the pass, at a glance:
Tirol Card Stats
- 82 Ski Areas
- 1050 Lifts
- 3596 KM of Piste
- Valid from October 1st to May 15th
Kinda make you want to pack up and move to Austria.

Just for your information, but 3 of the biggest and most interessting ski resorts are not part of this deal.
That is:
Ischgl
Sölden
St. Anton am Arlberg
Otherwise a very good deal, but if you’re into off-piste skiing then maybe not the best choice.
Very good price-performance ratio. Even when you are into Freeriding. There are plenty other resorts.
Fieberbrunn _ FWT
Hochfügen _ FWTQ
Pitztaler Gletscher _ Part in 4frnt´s Loyalty
It is worth because it includes the glaciers. Good for the early and late season. But in for my opinion there are cons. Let´s do a ski exchange.
This is worthwhile if you get a decent winter with some actual snow accumulation… Last winter was terrible, I spent December through the end of Feburary in Tirol, and from jan to the end of feb it snowed maybe 5 times. I headed to St. Anton in march because the ski area I was teaching at was having to push snow down the the chairlifts. These days spending a season in the Alps seems to be a gamble.
Well then, put another shrimp on the barbe!
haha +1
best “ski movie” ever
From this year only St. Anton is not in the card. So it is still the best thing around here.
