Not only does June 21st mark the first day of summer, it’s also Go Skateboarding Day!
If you’ve ever pushed around on the old stunt wood and never experienced this event it’s a must do. Check out the showing they have in vancouver in the photo above!
If you can’t make it down to Vancouver for one of the biggest Go Skateboarding Day events in Canada, Whistler is having it’s own celebration on Thursday, which works out perfectly as Thursday is also Garfinkles weekly skate night.
If you want to get involved in the mayhem (and you should) the schedule is as follows.

Obviously this will truly end when the lights come on at Garfs after a couple beers and a session on the mini ramp so come out and enjoy.
The skate gods are even supposed to give us a break in the rain so you have no excuses not to be there.
I’ll definitely be there if I can’t hitch to Van for the main event! Skate night at Garfs is always a pleasurable experience.
