Silverton Mountain in SouthWest Colorado will be doing $50 heli drops this weekend.

A heli drop at Silver ton is usually $160 plus you have to buy a lift ticket which can range from $50-$140, depending on the time of season.  So a normal heli drop is gonna cost you $210-$300 at Silverton.

You will have to buy a non-guided ($50) lift ticket or a guided ($100) lift ticket bringing your total for a heli drop to $100-$150, but you also get to ski Silverton all day.  This really is a stellar deal.

“The $50 single heli drops will be offered in the Pyramid Zone at Silverton Mountain, which has not been skied all season and should have great snow. Silverton Mountain is 100% open with fantastic steep skiing to be had.” – Silverton Mountain

Conditions don’t sound that rad for heli skiing…but I’m still tempted!
