I’m pretty sure that shot was from a few seasons ago, or Sage set off an identical slide this past winter. Not very likely. Pretty insane slide, none-the-less.
It’s obviously wind loaded, and the way he’s cutting across and digging in just above the convex / cornice makes me question if he was trying to trigger that on purpose.
Looks like it broke bigger and higher than he may have anticipated.
Testing a slope above a convex roll is what smart skiers do. If you really think he was trying to start that slide, you’re arrogant.

That was footage from TGR’s Anomaly but with a different soundtrack
