Liftopia has put together their list of The Rowdiest Ski Town Bars for The Huffington Post. Here is what they came up with.

Alright, guys, I’m back again. In this edition, I’m going to be discussing some of my favorite, cheap ski town bars.

Skiing/riding and drinking go hand in hand. They always have, and they always will. Some folks prefer martinis and cigars. Others have a taste for fine wine and local charcuterie and cheese plates! Then there’s those who want to sip champagne with cheesecake, after an expensive dinner of lobster and filet. Me? I’m all about $1 beers, sub-par whiskey and fried food, before drunkenly shooting pool or playing foosball with the locals.

So, here I take a peek into some of my favorite sleazy dives, where things like this are not only acceptable, but generally encouraged. Let’s party!

Far and away the wildest, craziest ski town bar is The Londoner Pub
    in Kitzbuhel!

    Honorable mentions:

    Woody Creek Tavern, Aspen
Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, Jackson Hole

Seriously, the Cowboy Bar? That is where tourists go to pay a cover, drink over priced drinks, and sit on saddle bar stools. Oh, and they have no draft beer. It is rowdy on Snowmobile Hill Climb weekend, but that’s about it in the winter.

Umm really. The black bear in big sky. Its the place to go for cheap beer, south american hotties, and fights. If you want to get your ass kicked go to the bear and run your mouth. No other bar I have been to makes tourists want to leave so quickly.

The VC is okay although pretty small for a bar and not very rowdy. Also filled with the bro brah scene. If you want rowdy, head to the Virginian for cheap strong cocktails, the occasional fight, live music, and hole in the wall appeal. If you are at the Village, the Mangy Moose is the classic rowdy scene.

Shooting Star is way overrated, as is the Million Dollar tourist trap. Way overlooked is O’Shucks (Park City) and Grumpys (Ketchum). Real bars for real people, not “bloggers”.

Although it doesn’t have an official liquor license, I think the rowdiest ski town bar I know of is the top of the Tram on closing day at Jackson. Of course, it is BYOB but it is one of the best mountain parties I have ever attended.
