This official message from Kei Braun, Mountain Manager of Taos Ski Valley, was sent out and posted to Taos Facebook Page

WHERE IS THE RESPECT

We all share an experience at the Ski Valley. Whether you’re an employee, a 30 year local or a first time visitor, TSV is a part of our lives and for many of us, our home. Why do some of us spit in the middle of the trail or throw a coke bottle off of the chair? Why do some of us use foul language in front of children in the lift line? It is a lack of respect. For each other, our guests and our environment.
WHAT IS RESPECT

Respect inspires Respect
Respect inspires Loyalty
Respect inspires Cooperation
Respect inspires Enthusiasm
Respect inspires Self –respect
Respect inspires Tact
Respect inspires Esprit de Corps

Self-respect inspires Integrity
Self-respect inspires Dependability
Self-respect inspires Pride
Self-respect inspires Courage

A lack of respect inspires a Lack of respect.
A lack of respect inspires Conflict.
A lack of respect inspires Subversion.
A lack of respect inspires Poor communication.
A lack of respect inspires Apathy.

Respect can be shown by Courtesy.
Respect can be shown by Cleanliness.
Respect can be shown by Careful listening.
Respect can be shown by Adding a Ma’am or thank you to a comment.

A lack of respect is easy to recognize. It is everywhere. It can be as simple as negative body language or cutting in a lift line.

All of your fellow employees and locals deserve your respect.
Our guests deserve your respect.
-Kei Braun, Mountain Manager.

Thats cause in Taos you dont need to show up an hour before the lift opens to get fresh tracks. And you also get tracks more than once a storm believe it or not

The name of the mountain is irrelevant. This could be said for any mountain, anywhere.

Do they have spittoons installed at the side of each run. That would be respectful. Expecting me to swallow? Not very.

Keep your children to the YMCA, Skiing is a grown ups sport, often the last place we can truly engange in fun physical activity, the gym is not fun. I refust to curb my cursing, spitting, or conflict towards retards on the hill. Deal with it as I deal with you lamo’s.

Right, YeeKiller was just BORN knowing how to ski? Think…THEN comment, dude. Everyone can enjoy skiing, just don’t be a douche doing it – your freedom stops where it encroaches the freedom of others. Cool? Cool.
