Cauterets, French Pyrenees

Ski Resorts in the Pyrenees are claiming the deepest snow depths in the world. In Piau-Engaly the current depth is 4.5m. Cauterets is reporting  5.5m and the resort of St Lary says it has 6.4m of snow! Check out these image of the deepness.

The slopes of the Pyrenees require a certain rhythm: late mornings, long lunches, naps and plenty of wine. Oh, and pointing your tips downhill.
