When did they put up the rails and orange fence in the Loveland pass backcountry? Please don’t tell me this was staged…

Let’s see it for what it is… a car commercial. No need to critique the obvious.

I lost two and a half minutes of my life…Not me
No way this commercial actually sells this $100′s K car to anyone…Not McLaren
Snowboarder didn’t even get a heli ride, had to ski in bounds somewhere…Not Chanelle
Got to slide around corners of closed road…Maybe Rhys?

I think the point of this commercial is that if you drive a 616-bhp McLaren 12C Spider (with Pirelli tires), you get Chanelle Sladics as well. Maybe its an option, wasn’t sure…

I’ll never understand how is that it is allow to shoot videos like this, stating that the road is closed and that the driver is a pro, when the rider is not wearing any protective gear. A helmet should be mandatory for shooting promotional videos!

Why should a helmet be mandatory? The driver didn’t have one and far more people die in car accidents every year than snowboarding. In fact, more people die from slipping in the shower each year than snowboarding too. Should models in shampoo commercials have to wear helmets too?

Why? Let’s say awareness about safety? Do you see any bike videos where riders are not wearing a helmet? There are a lot of ski resorts around the world where helmets are mandatory for children, speeds are being controlled, etc. Safety doesn’t mean boredom.

I don’t watch bike videos. But in snowboard videos most riders don’t wear helmets. Some do, and that’s a personal choice that we as adults get to make for ourselves.
The best way to be safety aware is to just follow the responsibility code, instead of just strapping on a helmet and tearing around the resort with a false sense of security.

          No.

Please just stay at your speed controlled family resort.
