When the conditions are sub par in Jackson, it’s good to know we have a solid aprés scene to fall back on. Between the Village Cafe, The Mangy Moose, and Cascade, there’s no shortage of places to go when the snow sucks, or after a day when it has been all-time. Hell, every day that you’ve skied is a good day for aprés. Each Teton Village watering hole has its perks, Cascade’s being its Nachos and Spicy Margs.

Beyond Cascade’s mainstays, the restaurant has a mix of upscale bar food. From Buffalo sliders to soups, the establishment in the lower level of Teton Mountain Lodge (TML) has something for everybody. But I digress…back to the Nachos and Margs. First the Nachos. Hands down, after a tough day shredding these might be the best item to stuff your face with. They’re huge, and they’re delicious. A half order will usually satisfy two hungry people, and a full order is better for a larger group. However, it sometimes seems there’s a bit more value in the half order, as far as the nacho/dollar ratio goes.

Then there are the spicy margs. Along with shake-a-day and moose, spicy margs are something that Jackson locals are strangely obsessed with. Cascade’s spicy marg is no slouch, and will stack up against any other restaurant’s offering. The jalapeno infused tequila might be the perfect thing to cap of your epic (or not so epic) ski day.
