Lindsey Vonn has written to the International Ski Federation requesting permission to compete in the men’s downhill event in Lake Louise, Canada this November. Her request was discussed at a meeting of the International Ski Federation (FIS) last week in Switzerland. No decision was made but the matter is now under consideration.

3) Wengen
4) Kitzbuhel

Why? The women’s circuit tired of dealing with the constant diva attitude towards course conditions and nagging injuries? Lindsey’s next move should be getting rid of the publicist(s) that came up with this idea.

2012 LL DH, Didier Cuche finished first in 1:47.28, Vonn finished in 1:51.35, good enough for first in the women’s event, would have put her in 64th place in the men’s event, ahead of 3 finishers and a couple DNF’s. Seems like a solid move.
