    Dislocated my shoulder a few months back. That definitely took some balls on his part to continue. It does not feel good in any way.

    Hey Aleksander- I used to be you. Nobody ever told me what I’m going to tell you. I’m not writing this to be a downer:

    Chronic shoulder dislocations (~20 each shoulder + surgeries) from landing wrong on skis has led me to this:
    I can no longer paddle a surfboard.
    I can no longer throw a baseball.
    I can no longer change my t-shirt without pain.
    I can no longer change a wet t-shirt without help from others.
    My hands go numb in my sleep.
    I have arthritis, for which I take medicine daily.
    I rehab every day, and have for the last 15 years.
    Another surgery would require ligaments cut from my hamstring to regrow them in my shoulders.
    I don’t have ligaments in my shoulders.
    I haven’t dislocated for more than 5 years now.
    I still hurt every day. It actually hurts worse now.
    I’m only 36.
    I predict I’ll get shoulder replacement surgery in my 50′s if the arthritis keeps getting worse.

    If I had heard the above when I was in my twenties, I likely wouldn’t have stopped jumping. But I would have stopped falling. Stop falling. Don’t get so hurt so bad you have to stop jumping/filming/competing because your injuries have resulted in fear.

    It’s easy to get back up, conquer your fear, suck up the pain from dislocations when you’re on the hill and it’s go time. It’s much harder, though, to accept the fact that your mid-life years still hurt because you never gained control and stopped falling when you thought these injuries were temporary.

    My friends who kept it up on the tour, became world champions, still compete/film never let it get out of control. They were patient. They stayed healthy. They didn’t throw down harder than me. They lasted longer.

      Strenge get busy living or get busy dying. He didnt fall when he popped his shoulder out he was just doing a warm up 540 ur wrong.

        I didn’t suggest he stop “living.” I suggested he stop falling. When shoulders simply pop out due to minor errors, slipped 540′s, it means they’re chronic. Eventually, they’ll start coming out when he sleeps, sneezes, does anything. And then fear sets in. If he wants to keep kicking ass as he is, he’s going to have to get control of that shoulder. Throughout the rest of the vid, after he got it back in, he kept jumping, not making any mistakes because he knew another mistake would be another blow out. That’s the attitude I’m encouraging.

        Vaginitis is a flowery term for repeating what I said. Chronic injuries lead to fear. I’m not talking about blowing out a knee, or breaking a leg. I’m talking about repeatedly experiencing the same injury. Chronic injuries get scary because they’re so hard to control. Which injuries have you overcome?
