Which is bullshit… no reason you shouldn’t be able to heli or sled all wilderness… there are MILLIONS of acres of insane terrain down in the central-southern sierra’s that goes untouched. very few people realize how much bad ass 11,000-14,000′ terrain that we have. the vast majority of it is too deep to hike in to and unfortunately closed to access by any modern means of travel. what a waste…

god damn tree hugging hippy sierra club granola eaters… shame on all of you

get stronger legs. keeping wilderness motor-free is not a waste. I love hearing silence on top of Dicks

you can keep that little corner of desolation that is day accessible from the motorized paved plowed and sanded road you drove your gas burning subaru from your electrical consuming home that morning. actually you can have all the easy high mountain pass road accessed terrain that you want.

i want the deep 50 mile back, need a sled to access, need AT skins and crampons to get on top of terrain balls deep down in the middle of the sierra’s that you nor any of your silence loving friends will never venture into because its too damn deep to get too.

once again, if you were a true skier and not a hike loving nature freak with a slight amount of common sense and a little less hypocritical stance towards your use of fossil fuels we could all live in peace far away from each other…

maybe you should move to montana or wyoming then. sounds like you hate california because of our motorized restrictions in expansive wilderness. you probably don’t have any friends here because most of Tahoe is full of “hippies” anyway. and by the way, i dont care about fossil fuel use, sleds just don’t belong in the high sierra.

With that sort of slippery slope neither do ski resorts or people like you. We should probably remove all the homes and businesses from lake tahoe and all the lifts at squaw. I mean that’s the way nature would have wanted it right? =D

Yea montana is great. All the sled access you could want, guns, and less granola eaters. But I do eat granola everyday.

PS california is a beautiful state but ran by a bunch of idiots with great ideas similar to you. Looking forward to the day when your state can no longer finance its bloated government. The fact that california buys a guy a $14k snowmobile and a $40k truck while paying him $60k/year to chase around guys like me shows you’re headed in the wrong direction. Good luck with your state buddy. http://unofficialnetworks.com/state-senator-proposes-california-ski-safety-bill-118270/

Why the fuck would anyone want to ride a ski that looks like a coors can? Cold activated skis?…For what? To tell me the snow is cold?

The Crist’s are already career sellout skiers, but Andy Mahre? Really dude? My respect for you has now been shattered.

And who hell-skis a zone with no snow? “not many people have heli-skied tahoe”, yeah, cause it sucks. The rockies have better coverage in June.
