The biggest news, if the rumours are true, is the frame sizes/rates of the Hero 3 Black which will shoot 4K at 15 frames per second. For those who are not familiar with this size of frame, it is essentially four times the size of a 1080p frame. See example:

1080p at 60 frames per second is another great feature as this is rarely a feature even in some of the multi thousand dollar cameras.

well, this seems interesting
from the picture it looks like they got rid of the fish eye. that might be nice…
no wayy! thats the best part..
4K? 1080p @ 60fps? 720p @ 120fps?
Damn.
Just imagine whats next, 4K @ 60fps? 1080p @ 240fps? Built in kegerator?
Yes
interested to see how crushed the battery gets shooting 4k and 720 @ 120fps. Other than that concern it sounds dope.
+ just saw 4k is only 15 frames a second. kinda pointless.
Specs and pixel counts don’t mean much if the lens doesn’t take advantage of it… would love to see some example footage.
would like to see some better dynamic range than the previous versions as well
Looks like the Black Edition has an option for manual white balance adjustment… and in my brief use so far with ProTune, dynamic range is improved. Protune is available for the 2 via a firmware upgrade.

creo que ha ganado mucho en cuanto a diseño
Still no built in screen? I’ll stick with my Drift HD
Here is some footage shot with the hero 3 complete with mermaids

they list a head strap mount, i wonder if that would be stable enough? i would definitely use some sort of lanyard.
Heres what I want, a goggle with a camera that doesnt look bulky. I saw Zeals, looks fucking huge and heavy. If they can put a decent camera in a iphone they can make a goggle cam.
Too bad its still a go pro. I think pretty much everyone on this forum has seen more than enough go pro footage
GO PRO = Lame
Shread hard and remember what it was like. I am so sick of every idiot filming life.
When i’m old, and my son is shredding, I want to show him my clips. Then i’ll tell him “I was waay better then you will ever be”.
Agreed its over used, but when done well it can be pretty sweet – I liked this POV from Telluride last season.

but who cares what you are sick of? only someone like yourself who probably has watched 1000′s of youtube videos would be “so sick” of people filming what they do.
Maybe you think you “shred hard” but are really a little girl compared to what some of us really do.
