Survivor recounts deadly Himalayan avalanche

An extreme skier from Calif. is among the survivors of a deadly avalanche in the Himalayas. Glen Plake says he’s thankful to be alive, but devastated his friends are still missing. CBS News’ Tina Kraus reports.

Anderson Cooper will interview him tonight on CNN at 8 p.m. / 10 p.m. ET

    Never seen Plake so shaken. Sounds like he did all he could, but I’m sure it’s no conciliation. So sad, but that’s part of the risk in the big mountains.
