So you want to go skiing? It’s only October but a number of ski resorts have already started to spin chairlifts and are opening for 2012 -2013 season. Here is a list of ski resorts that have already opened (or are soon to be open) for the 2012 -2013 winter ski season.

Timberline in Oregon MAY open this weekend (fri-sat-sun), weather permitting. We have received 30″ of snow in the past 4-5 days but the forecast is calling for rain beginning Friday with the snow level being around 10k. Likely to melt to un-ride-able levels. Palmer would be good but will probably be closed due to visibility. Get it early Friday, if you can.
