The Freeride World Tour has officially combined with the Freeskiing World Tour. The first stop of this new format will be at Revelstoke, B.C. somewhere within the weather window defined as Jan. 7-12, 2013.

REVELSTOKE FWT BREAKDOWN:
- Each competitor will only get one run
- The one run will be on the Mackenzie Peak Face (aka Mac Face, aka Mac Daddy)
- Helicopters will escort competitors to the top of Mackenzie Peak
MACKENZIE FACE STATS:
- 1,600 vertical feet
- 2,459 m (8,068 ft) at the summit
- Named for the Right Honourable Sir Alexander Mackenzie, the second Prime Minister of Canada

The road in this area is the most dangerous for avalanches I’ve ever seen.
They fire off cannons for avalanche control & about a third of the highway is
in avalanche shelters.
