A Florida developer is pitching the idea of the first ski facility for the Sunshine State. The proposal is to build an enclosed snow venue on the edge of the Everglades west of Fort Lauderdale featuring runs up to a half mile long. The complex, estimated at $300 Million, would also include electric snowmobiling, high performance go-carts, laser tag, paintball, a massive hotel as well as the largest indoor skate park in the US.
Indoor snow domes have been popular for years in Europe and the Middle East but have yet to arrive in the new world. Snow dome projects have been proposed for New Jersey, Las Vegas, Georgia and Connecticut but the economic downturn in late 2008 have put them all on ice.

So unneccessary…What an environmental disaster
^^^ unneeded…if you want to go the beach go to Florida, if you want to ski, go north
Fuck fla for anything especially the beach if u want a nice beach go to northern Michigan.
yeeee mullet lake all summa
There are a lot of kids in Florida who will love this, maybe their parents don’t have the means (or motivation) to take them on a ski trip. I was once one of those little kids. I would get so excited just to go ice skating for an hour or two. All the beach and other outdoor stuff in 95 degrees with 90+ percent humidity gets old fast. Build it!
Florida should not have this like Dubai should not have this. Parents should not raise kids near the evergreens. Florida is for old retirees and hot college girl who think the beach is what’s up, keep the skiing in the mtns
probaly better skiing than squaw
Florida has nice beaches. What kind of idea is this? They can’t have it all
