A survey by travel insurance company InsureandGo found German skiers have a lack of awareness of those around them on the slopes.
Skiers should also be cautious of the Italians, who have ”a tendency to ski and board too fast”, the poll found.
The survey showed that British skiers, especially men, have a habit of showing off on-piste.
Meanwhile the French overestimate their abilities, and the Spanish often do not have enough training.
Late in the day is the time most ski accidents happen, followed by just after lunch.
The biggest cause of accidents is people pushing themselves beyond their ability because of “jealousy of others’ expertise on the slopes.”

I am originally from the 50% bullet-proof & 50% corn powder slopes of Idaho. I live by, “Be Aware! Ski To Scare!” I now ski Squaw-Alpine and think turns are for sissies.

I imagined this like a giant multi-car accident.
1. Spanish skier falls down because he can’t ski well.
2. German crashes into Spanish skier because he was looking at the mountains in the background…or maybe he was drunk.
3. The Italian skier is going way too fast and cannot swerve around the skiers that have already fallen.
4. The French skier sees this, however he thinks that he can swerve around them…he can’t.
5. The British skier attempts to show his friends that he can jump over all of those people and collides into the pile.
euro skier pretty much owns. if this is posted its my first post to get trough. american skiers pretty much is go big off stupid cliffs. Euro skiers is fuckit, i rather go steep and die, than go off a cliff, Go off a cliff and youll break a bone, ski an real line and fail, youll die. Thats life. Wont get thet stuff outta Youtube

yeh so you sum up Europe by 5 countries and forget to mention the other 45. as a add on Canadians and american’s probably ski much worse than the majority of Europeans. As an added note Austria remains the best country to produce brilliant skiers and by the way that is in Europe!

30 yrs ago on Grand Montets (Chamonix_) my friend & I were alongside trails off piste all day and only saw 2 others doing this. Later we met the 2 and found they were Canadians.
