This excellent start to the 2012 winter in the Andes just keeps getting better and better! It is currently snowing from Portillo to Las Leñas all the way down to Catedral and Cerro Bayo.
Reports in Las Leñas indicate that there is already 2 feet of light snow at valley floor, and it is still puking!

The forecast is for the current snowfall to continue through the night. It also looks like Saturday, Sunday, and Monday will bring some more snow, and high pressure will return next week.
