If you take one thing away from this video it should be this…. If your chairlift start to roll back at a rapid rate JUMP OFF!!!!
Destructive Testing of an old lift – Done at Winter Park, Co.
yes, I have seen this happen….. the last time you posted it
and the time before that.
I was a lifty a Winter Park and this was one of our training videos… Needless to say, it got us paying attention!
Shouldn’t that be, if your chairlift starts to roll back, hit the “panic stop” button on the controls ? Who wants to have their last vision be the liftie, who’s hurdling over the nearest cliff in full- on panic mode.
Look at all those people in hardhats just casually watching the big mess being created. This is just so wrong. They should be waving their slide rules at it, shaking their fists in fury! How dare gravity and mass coordinate. This is completely un-American, un-Patriotic, and un- capitalistic.
I can see this type of film being used to brainwash the masses at Squaw into accepting tow ropes at High Camp.
ive read this post like 3 times and i still cant figure out what in the fuck youre talking about
The people in hardhats are engineers you geriatric tard. They are intentionally letting the lift rollback uncontrollably to test the effects it would have on old farts like yourself. Maybe you should hit the “panic stop” button on your life cause it certainly seems to be gone like your common sense.
If I was heckler I would say this is what most people at squaw look like
but your not and that was a stupid comment!!
thats what gaper day at the chimney looks like.
One of a number of tests done on the Eskimo lift at Winter Park
June 18, 1990. Old video, I saw it 15 years ago.
