What’s the most underrated piece of ski gear? It’s the belt. Let’s face it, nobody has ski pants that fit their waist perfectly and are still big enough to go over a boot. And even if they did, the common snaps wouldn’t stay attached while actually shredding. Therefore, everyone on the mountain wears a belt, and for the most part, so does everyone off the mountain.

What’s a great belt that looks cool, donates a portion of each sale to charity and just might help off set global warming long enough so you can get in that one extra winter? C4 Belts.

C4 Belts are,

“made of a plastic material that is very popular and trendy in today’s fashion. You see this material used in watches, cell phone cases, hats etc.” – C 4 owner Robbie Hart

but there is much more to a C4 belt, and the company’s green platform and philosophy of giving back is key to setting them apart from others.

Just note that Colter Hinchliffe form the cover of September’s Powder Mag rocks C4 belts and so too does Nappy Roots. That about covers the spectrum of lifestyle chioces, bringing attention to the versatility and universal appeal of these belts.

“We’re not even limiting it to just music. We’re trying to incorporate sports, lifestyle, and anything that has a real influence on fashion in general.” – C4 owner Robbie Hart

C4 Belts set themselves apart in being environmentally friendly.

  • The production of C4 belts consumes less energy and resources than leather, PU leather, and woven belts.
  • The belts are innocuous & nickel-free – meaning that if the product is thrown in the garbage, incinerated, or just left to rot in a forest, no harmful toxins or chemicals will be emitted into the environment.

If saving the planet is not incentive enough to support C4, then their charity policy can hopefully win you over. If not, then you have no soul. C4 actually stands for Choose your Color, Choose your Cause, and this is because a cause must be selected in order to complete a purchase. There are currently four organizations that a customer can choose from and in the future these should change throughout the year. The selected charity then receives a portion of that purchase. Right now, these organizations are: Boys and Girls Club of America, American Cancer Society, Project Kaisei, and Kiva.

“We believe that every person, every organization doing good deserves support.” – Robbie Hart
