French researchers in Paris have built the first working Hoverboard. The MagSurf, as it is called, is a magnetically charged board filled with super-cold liquid nitrogen. The nitrogen turns the board into a superconductive device that can fly along a magnetically charged track. The process is known as Quantum Levitation and it can make your Back to the Future II hoverboard dreams a reality. As the video shows, one little push and your Marty McFlying.
The French built MagSurf board might not let you zip around the neighborhood but the future of Quantum Levitation is looking quite good. Researchers in Israel have build their own Quantum Levitation track which shows the future potential of hovering fun.

I remember when this movie came out all of my classmates in elementary school were convinced there was some kind of cover up or something. The word was that ther WERE hoverboards in California and Florida (Because in those days we were convinced all of these cool things happened there). Some kind of militant anti fun mom group wouldn’t let us have them in NY.
Since moving to CA I’ve been looking all over for them.
