“Last March a group of us from Jackson converged with friends from Colorado and headed north to the Fairy Meadow (aka Bill Putnam) Hut, located in the Adamant Mountains, British Columbia. A heli ride in and out allows for ample food and libations to be brought in to fuel skiers and snowboarders in exploring the incredible terrain. We were lucky to experience both deep and stable snow in addition to good weather.

There’s a nice write up and photos over at EarlyUps: earlyups.com

Music is “Dark Into Light” by AM & Shawn Lee. So good.

Shot with GoPro Hero2 and Hero3 black cameras. Most of the POV footage is from Hero2… I didn’t have as many Hero3 batteries, so the helmet cam shots were mostly 960p. I’m really excited to use the Hero3+ black this winter, it should help reduce the banding of colors that you can see in some low light shots.” -

awesome video, some amazing stuff but i HATE 960p and the cam looked like it was mounted too far forward, there is no helmet or goggle at the bottom of the screen to set perspective. dont get me wrong, this is still the best video ive seen in a long time.

  6. Kevin says:

Oh no, 960p. Oh my god there were falls. Stop being dickheads. Just be pumped someone is out there shredding pow living the dream.

i still said i loved watching it and it was the best edit ive seen in a while. i wasn’t trying to be a dickhead. I was simply offering my professional advice for frame of references during any POV filming. don’t tell me, you are chesty mount guy are you?
