well lets see….rent it out at $225 bucks a night….48% occupancy per year….sooo….about 175 night per year paying $225 average rate….that is $39,420 bucks or revenue….cost of contract houskeeping and condo fees….lets say 12k/year….so you are still left with 27K….lets say 30 year mortgage with 20% down….@ 5% rate that would be say about $1000 mortgage payment..soo….multiply that 12 and you get $12,000 subtract that from your left over income, and you have $15k….trick is getting the 50k down payment…

Jackson is a Hole. And why would anyone want to compete with the crowds, people for that kind of money.

Or you could buy a lot in a little known valley right around the corner (not teton valley) with a giant lake and all the backcountry skiing you could possibly imagine for 50k build a nice cabin for 100k and go to jackson when you feel like it. Which in my case is NEVER!
2 seasons in JH was enough for me. But living there I did find that nearby was just as incredible and much more affordable. saves you enough to own 10 new rmk 800′s and the people outside of JH are much more approachable and less snooty. Real People and the mountains are almost more accessable.

WTF? That place is worth nothing…. If you can’t enjoy the tv or fireplace from bed in a 500sqft studio apartment slopeside, come on… what’s the point? That is unless the cow blanket is included, then TOTALLY worth it…

I lived in this place for a season and loved every minute of it. I use to snowboard to my front door. The neighbor is an ass though.
