Maine’s Mount Katahdin hosts over 40 named couloirs and gullies in addition to some of the best backcountry glade skiing in the northwest. And while Tuckerman’s gets the majority of airtime, it’s quite possible that Katahdin hosts more terrain and better skiing than its New Hampshire cousin.
