Lucky for us, the Ikon Pass is chock full of destinations with some of the most unique and quirky aprés destinations in North America. From spicy margs to ‘hangover helper’ Bloody Mary’s, you can’t go wrong grabbing a drink at any of the following water holes.

5) The Mangy Moose — Jackson Hole Mountain Resort

Located at the base of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, ‘The Moose’ is a Wyoming classic. The rustic dive hosts bands weekly and is complete with an upstairs and downstairs bar. When it comes to food and drink, grab some “World Famous Moose Nachos” and wash it down with a spicy margarita.

4) T-Bar — Steamboat

T-Bar is consistently ranked as one of the best ski-town bars in the country, and the kitcken produces some of the best food in the entire Yampa Valley. not just a great dive at the base of the Steamboat. The kitchen produces some of the best food in the entire Yampa Valley. From Swiss Rosti to Soba Noodles, the slope-side grub is nothing short of phenomenal.

3) Grizzly’s — Stratton

Dancing on tables and bar is usually relegated to our European cousins but apparently Grizzly’s didn’t get the memo. Upon walking into the massive bar at 4pm on a Friday, it’s obvious these Vermonters don’t mess around. Local breweries grace much of the tap list and their wood fired pizzas are not to be missed.

2) The Peruvian — Alta

Despite rumors to the contrary, Utah loves its local bars and among them, the Peruvian at Alta Ski Area ranks #1. On a powder day, expect a rowdy crowd to pack the ‘P-Dog’, ordering cans or bottles of beer and stiff cocktails. Let the dance party commence.

1) Le Chamois — Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows

Affectionately referred to as ‘The Chammy,” this iconic beer-only aprés destination is known throughout ski country. Shane McConkey graced its porch back in the day and so should you. For in spring, we’re not sure if there’s anywhere else in the world we’d rather knock a few back.
