A man who is suspected to be involved in the March 11th shooting that left a Pagosa Springs ski shop dead appears to have committed suicide reports the Durango Herald.

The suspect, 29 year-old Michael Moats was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound near the Colorado New Mexico border. Moats had previously been questioned by authorities in connection with the shooting at Ski and Bow Rack. His body was discovered near Chama, NM at approximately 1:30pm on March 14th.

The victim and owner of Ski and Bow Rack, 71 year-old Larry Fisher was shot during the burglary and was later life flighted to a hospital in Lakewood, CO where he was pronounced dead. Authorities continue to insist that the investigation is still open and that the suicide does not mean the case is closed.
