In an Instagram Post by Jones Snowboards’ founder, mountain wisdom fount and unequivocal humble badass, Jeremy Jones, had a simple hypothesis proven correct:

If you can ride your neighborhood, the roads are shit. If the roads are shit, the resorts are clusterf*ck. If the resorts are a clusterf*ck, the backcountry is downright dangerous….so if you can pow surf your hood, thats exactly what you should be doing.

As you can see, conditions have changed drastically in Tahoe over the past two weeks. Believe it or not the run below was bare dirt 10 days ago so obviously Jeremy’s reticence about stability is well founded:
