Strong northerly winds this past week gave rise to some of the biggest waves Nazaré, Portugal has ever seen. Measuring somewhere between 30-60 feet high, the swell allowed for a few of the most consequential rides in the area’s history. One such ride came in the form of a righty from Hugo Vauo that is rarely completed successfully under such high surf conditions.
