French police are currently scouring the French ski area of Tignes in search of a British Skier who went missing on Sunday reports The Local.
Family of the 39 year-old John Promell, told authorities that he wanted to go for “one last run alone” before calling it a day. He was last seen boarding the Pacquis chairlift at roughly 4:30pm on Sunday.
The search for Prommel has been severely hampered by heavy snow and extreme avalanche risk. Search and rescue personnel are hoping to gain access to the Tignes’ slopes today after performing much needed avalanche mitigation in the area.
