You know it’s bad in Colorado when Vermont is getting their first lift accessed faceshots before you in late November. That’s what happened today @JayPeak all thanks to the ‘Jay Cloud.’

The resort is reporting 28″ over the past seven days with 12-14″ of that coming in just the past 24 hours alone. Booya! And if that wasn’t good enough, patrol dropped ropes all day and these pictures have us yearning desperately for a storm to whallop The Rockies.

Jay Peak Conditions Report:

We’ve seen nearly TWO FEET of fresh snow land in the past 48 hours, and our trails are in amazing shape the whole way down. Patrol has dropped ropes on a number of trails, including some glades, over doubling our trail count since yesterday.

Grooming is working overtime right now pushing out the massive snow piles let by our Snowmakers at BOTH Stateside and Tramside base areas. Snowmaking plans to continue running as long as temps will allow, but it’s looking like we’ll have a good shot at opening beginner terrain starting on Friday, serviced by the Taxi Quad and Stateside Carpet.

Patrol has just dropped a ton of ropes, effectively DOUBLING our trail count to 20. You can access all of these trails off of the Jet Triple, which started to spin at 9:00 AM. Last chair today is at 4:00 PM.

Please note: Skiing and Riding today will be for advanced skiers and riders only.
