In 24 hours Lake Louise will join Mt Norquay as the second resort in Canada to open its slopes for skiers and riders.

If you’re headed up to Banff, expect great conditions accompanied by partly cloudy skies and maybe– just maybe some powder in your face. As of this morning, no terrain or lift announcements had been made

“The whole team at Lake Louise would like to thank our Mountain Operations Department for making this early opening possible!”

Right now we’re guessing terrain will be limited, even though the upper reaches of the mountain already have quite the base (*see Lake Louise webcams).
