Today Al’s post was a PSA to keep people from skinning up the mountain due to a multitude of snowmaking equipment covering A-Basin’s lower slopes. But Al being Al, he couldn’t help but hinting at a future opening date.

“For safety reasons, on hill traffic doesn’t mix all that well with the process of getting the place open. I appreciate your patience on this. Like you, I am excited to start skinning once more terrain opens.” – Al Henceroth, A-Basin COO

From the post, Al seems to be looking at next Friday as the most promising date. “On another note, last night was very good for snowmaking. Tonight we might see some good temperatures and, right now, early next week is looking very good for snowmaking,” said the ski area COO.
