An 18 year-old is lucky to be alive after going missing for a reported 11 days in Tennessee’s Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

According to the Knoxville Standard, Austin Bohanan ventured into the woods on August 11th with his stepfather but decided to stay in woods for what would become a lengthy solo mission.

People familiar with the young man said it wasn’t unusual for him to spend a couple days in the woods but noted something was off after he failed to return home in the coming days. He was reported missing on August 13th.

The most amazing part of the story comes at the end when according to police reports, he walked out of the wood on his own. All that tells us is this teenager is now a man. It’s so far unclear as to what this young dude ate or drank… or where he made shelter but once he gets out of the shower– we’ll let you know.
