Everyone has a moment when they see a startup business in the news and say, “I thought of that years ago.” Such is my reaction to a new business whose goal is to make shipping skis to your destination a breeze.

Talk to anyone who’s traveled extensively to ski and they’ll tell you the only bad part of the experience is lugging their gear to and from foreign airports, smashing 190cm ski bags into tiny taxis, or God forbid– having the airline lose the bags themselves.

TripHero wants to end that frustrating experience by shipping the bags directly to your destination. Currently, the service is only available at Colorado resorts: Aspen, Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and Arapahoe Basin. That said, they hope to expand to a more North American offering in the coming year.

Here’s how it works:

  • GET TRIP READY — It’s simple: pack what you need just like you would normally. Use your own luggage, or use our patented SkiPod.
  • TRIPHERO DELIVERS — We pick up your luggage, and whisk it away to your destination with status updates of our every move, allowing you to move luggage-free.
  • IT’S AT THE DESTINATION — No long lines to pick up luggage, and no waiting. When you arrive at your destination, your gear will be right there for you.
