If you bought a season pass to Mammoth Mountain this year you had plenty of opportunity to get your money’s worth. When the mountain finally stops spinning lifts on August 6th, it will mark the ending of a 270 day season.

“This is the second longest season on record, the longest was ’94-95 where we opened in early Oct. and closed Aug. 14.” -Mammoth Mountain PR Manager Lauren Burke

The Washington Post reports the extra long season can be attributed to the 618 inches of snow measured at it’s main lodge, making it the second snowiest season behind 2010-2011 when 668 inches fell at the main lodge. At its peak altitude of 11,053ft an estimated 800 inches (66ft+) came down.

There is still about 35 inches of snow on the 10 remaining trails accessed by three lifts. There is a killer deal if you want to ski, bike and golf in the same day.

“There is a great deal running where you can ski in the morning, then hit the bike park and 9 holes of golf at Sierra Star for $99.”

Also kids 12 and under can ski/ride for free and if present your 2016/17 season pass from any other resort at any ticket window to save 50% on the window rate for a 1-Day Lift Ticket. Happy August shredding!
