Yellow Stone National Park has a new spokesperson and he is a legend. Part-time Montana resident and full time dude, Jeff Bridges, has joined the “A Bear Doesn’t Care” campaign, which began in 2016 to share the message that bear spray is essential for safety in bear country. Jeff spoke with Oil City News about the opportunity to lend his celebrity for the benefit of bears:

“I wanted to get involved with Yellowstone because I care deeply about bears. As hikers, backpackers, anglers, and photographers, we all need to carry bear spray and know how to use it. No excuses!”

Other local celebrities who appear in the campaign include alpinist Conrad Anker, artist Jennifer Lowe-Anker, National Geographic photographer Ronan Donovan, and fly fisherman Craig Mathews. Nice to see the dude doing a job…even if its volunteer:
