When it comes to family friendly ski areas in Western Massachusetts, there’s perhaps no better place to go skiing than Blandford Ski Area— that is when they have enough snow to operate.

This past year the local ski hill saw only marginal snowfall, forcing the Springfield Ski Club to put the property on the market.
“The Blandford Ski Area Board of Directors is currently reviewing all options to insure the continuous operation of the ski area and we have yet to determine what our exact path forward will be. That being said, we cannot provide any further details at this time but will disclose information as soon as it becomes available. Should there be an option to sell the ski area, details of the sale will be presented at a special meeting for a vote by the current members of the Blandford Ski Area.”
The ski club has owned and operated the resort for nearly a century and while the ski area doesn’t have a public price tag, reports indicate that other ski-based operators are interested in purchasing the property.
