Part of a mountain collapsed in southwest China’s Guizhou Province on Monday July 10th due to heavy rainfall. According to The Daily Mail officials in Qianxinan Buyei and Miao Autonomous Prefecture were aware of the potential of collapse after noticing 16 foot wide and 65 foot long crack in the rock face after weeks of sustained rainfall and took precautions. The 10 households at the foot of the mountain had been evacuated 3 days prior to the collapse with authorities sealing off the roads below. No casualties were reported
