Sage Kotsenburg is happy with his Olympic career and who can blame the guy?
The professional snowboarder turned national icon has already won gold in Sochi and now he’s on to bigger and better things– freeriding and filming. The news is somewhat shocking considering that Kotsenburg is one– 23 years old and two– he’s still near the top of his game.
Apparently competition has lost its allure, which he says was all powerful at one point but afterwards left him without any real fullfillment. In the end it just came down to a simple fact:“Competing doesn’t make me happy right now.” Kotsenburg says he will now focus his efforts on action sports filmaking as well as starring in future snowboard movies.
