Highly suggest you take the 8 minutes to enjoy the winning film from this year’s Whistler Ski & Snowboard Festival. Believe it or not the entire thing was filmed and edited in 7 days. Here’s how the contest was formatted:
“The chosen crews will each put together a 5-7 minute ski/snowboard film, unique to this competition, that incorporates artistic vision and a whole lot of shredding. The challenge: they only have 7 days to shoot, edit and produce the film, it must be shot within 100km of Whistler, each film must contain 30 seconds of park footage and 30 seconds of WB in-bound terrain. This year’s 7 days will take place March 22-29! Teams will battle it out for the grand prize of $10,000.”Â
Jerry’s Day took top prize and we approve. Here’s how the filmmakers describe their project:
“Jerry’s Day is the love story of our time. Set in the remote location of Whistler, BC Canada, our young Jerry played by Stan Rey meets the girl of his dreams, (Sherry played by Brynne Benbow) and will do anything to impress her, even if it means sending it off man killer drop… Filmed and edited in 7 days for the 2017 WSSF intersection competition. Placing 1st overall and winning peoples choice. Thank you to the cast and crew for the support.”
Congrats to RK Productions out of Whistler, BC….incredible turnaround and a well deserved 10Gs. I hope Jerry’s stunt double sees a healthy portion of that purse.
