The winter just won’t go away in Jackson Hole and locals are still getting faceshots off Teton Pass and in the high elevations of Grand Teton National Park.

The Tetons and Gros Ventre mountains are both under a winter weather advisory and NOAA is calling for a foot of new snow by Thursday afternoon before snow showers begin to taper off by Friday night.

Winter Weather Advisory

After a lull in the snow this morning, another approaching Pacific cold front will bring more snow from this afternoon into Thursday.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO NOON MDT THURSDAY…

* TIMING…Snow showers will become steadier and heavier this afternoon and continue into Thursday. The heaviest snow is expected later tonight and Thursday morning.

* TOTAL SNOWFALL…6 to 12 inches.

* OTHER IMPACTS…Highways will become slick and snow covered, including Teton and Togwotee passes. Visibility could be reduced to under one half mile at times.
