While things looked bleak two weeks prior, Telluride Ski Resort just closed out its operations with a series of storms that saved the season. With 317″ inches of snow during its operational schedule, this ranks as the second deepest season in Telluride Ski Resort history falling just behind the 2007/2008 season.

Saturday and Sunday hosted some random deep spots in places like Black Iron and Prospect Bowls. Gold Hill Chutes suffered some wind affect but the aprons were also DEEP. Everything off the trail and below the high alpine was mostly dust on crust. The groomers on the other hand skied famously. On years like these, it’s hard to believe Telluride must shut ‘er down but their lease with the USFS dictates their closing day.

Fresh turns were also found Sunday morning on Bald Mountain before warming temps began to affect the snow. Pond skimming @Gorrona followed thereafter and beverages were served.

*See you next year T-Ride!
