This morning Chris Bertish quietly alternated strokes through turbulent seas with the English Harbor of Antigua in sight. He was about to make headlines.

“I took everything to stay alive for 93days and to finish this, as giving up was never an option!” – Chris Bertish’s Final Trip Log

Having started the journey in Agadir, Morocco, Bertish pushed onward and upon arriving in the harbor, became the first Stand Up Paddleboarder to cross the Atlantic. The epic, human-powered journey included paddling 4,050 miles over the course of 93 days. The legendary waterman is undoubtedly happy to have his feet on solid ground today.
