If you are a Stowe local you probably have a strong opinion one way or another about Vail Resorts first east coast acquisition but there is one thing that is most definitely attractive about the change….season pass prices.

The Burlington Free Press is reporting an early purchase of the Epic Pass will cost $859, significantly cheaper than Stowe’s current adult season pass price of $1,860.  In addition to skiing Stowe, the Epic Pass grants access to all of the resorts in Vail Resorts portfolio including Vail and Breckenridge in Colorado; Park City in Utah; and Whistler Blackcomb in British Columbia, Canada.

They will also offer an Epic Local Pass” for $639, which will include unlimited skiing at some resorts and 10 days of skiing or snowboarding at Stowe, with some holiday date restrictions.  A traditional Stowe season pass will also be sold but pricing details have not been announced.
