With a strong high pressure ridge standing solid across most of the west, ski areas continue to hold on to winter with big time snowpacks that will keep the season running strong till July 4th in parts of California.

Not surprisingly, Mammoth Mountain continues to hold down the lead for deepest snowpack and is followed closely behind by Boreal, Squaw Valley, and Mt Baker. Look for that to continue as NOAA recently forecasted a mostly high and dry spring across most of the west.
